Golf Holidays Portugal
Portugal is a well established golf holiday destination and many golfers return to the area year after year.
No more than 3 hours from the UK and you will be in Portugal, part of the Iberian peninsular. Popular with holiday-makers and golf players alike, Portugal offers great coastlines with beaches and delightful coves; undiscovered inland countryside and plenty of golf courses for keen golfers.
The Algarve is perhaps the best known golfing holiday regions, and its wealth of golf courses and close proximity to the Costa de la Luz in makes it a favourite area for golfers. Lisbon is further north and offers good value golf and accommodation along its coasts and is great for golfers wanting to explore Portugal's capital whilst enjoying a round or two of golf.
The Portuguese island of Madeira, lies some 500 kms from the coast of Africa and has been popular for golf with the British for a number of years. A delightful island to visit for its gardens, it also boasts two great golf courses.
The western end of the Algarve features golf courses that are not quite as busy as the central Algarve. You will find golf courses like Gramacho and Morgado a delight to play and the famous championship golf course at Penina is a must to play for any keen golfer!
