Santana

Designed by Cabell B Robinson, this beautiful course is built on a gently undulating old avocado plantation. The course is designed for all classes of golfer with wide fairways and well kept greens. There are a number of water hazards to catch the unwary. Close to the new La Cala Campo Europa at times, these two courses are nevertheless very different with Europa being very hilly whilst Santana is much flatter and very walkable. With many trees throughout the course encouraging a wealth of wildlife, golfers will enjoy the surroundings.

Santana has been designed to provide a challenge at every hole even for the low handicappers. The greens are well protected by bunkers and there are a good number of water hazards. The spectacular 4th hole has magnificent views from the tee and the stream that runs across the fairway in front of the green will provide a challenging approach. The par 5 8th is the longest hole on the Costa del Sol and will favour the long hitter whilst the par 3 12th plays downhill to a generous yet undulating green.

The long par 4 18th looks to be one of the most demanding finishing holes along the coast with water all along the right-hand side and a narrow entrance to the green.
