San Lorenzo

Owned by the Dona Filipa and one of the best courses in europe, San Lorenzo is a beautifully manicured course and a delight to play. Set in an unspoilt area of  natural beauty and with each hole providing a different challenge, San Lorenzo features large fast greens, plenty of water hazards and gently undulating fairways. 

The first five holes are played through avenues of pines and the par 3 5th offers wonderful views over the Atlantic Ocean. The 6^th and 7^th skirt the estuary with narrow fairways and the par 5 8^th has water running all along the right-hand side and out of bounds on the left. If you play to the left you will have a shot over bunkers with trees getting in the way before you reach the green.

The par 5 15^th is challenging, with an abundance of bunkers leading up to the green. The very tough par 418th, with its almost island green, is a superb finishing hole, where accuracy is the key.

This course is for the exclusive use of guests staying at the 5* Dona Filipa Hotel. For all others, starting times are bookable a maximum of 24hours in advance.
