Rio Real

Designed by Javier Arana and opened in 1966, Rio Real is a well manicured, attractive course over sloping terrain that runs down to the sea. The Real River crosses the course several times creating a picturesque hazard and the course is failrly flat throughout.

A challenging course, the front nine is fairly tight but opens out once you reach the back nine with several elevated tees. Plenty of established trees offer shade in the summer and there are some demanding holes including the par 3 6^th where accuracy is required to avoid the hillside to the right. The 4^th and the 5^th are close to the shore offering great views of the sea and the pretty par 3 13^th is worth a mention with a carry over water.  Well worth a visit.
