Located on the north of the island, fairly close to the airport, Real Club de Golf Tenerife was founded in 1932. Also known as el penon, the course is the oldest golf course on the island.
600 metres above sea level with great views and well established trees this rolling course with its steep cliffs has quite an english feel to it. Take a buggy though, as it can be quite and uphill walk! The backdrop of the ever present mount teide and the beautiful sunshine remind you that you are of course on spanish soil.
Dry streambeds come in to play on a number of holes. The fourth poses a difficult challenge and you will need a careful approach shot to avoid the out of bounds areas to both your left and your right hand side.
Visitors are only permitted to play weekdays from 09:00 until 13:00, as it is members only in the afternoon and at weekends.
