Quinta Do Lago South

Quinta do Lago South has been open since 1974 and is one of the best championship courses on the Algarve. This William Mitchell designed course has hosted the Portuguese Open Championship eight times, the last time being in 2001.

This quality course is beautifully kept, with different cuts of rough to emphasise the look of the holes and will suit golfers of all levels. With generous, undulating fairways lined with pine trees this long course requires a golfer to use all his skill whilst also favouring the long hitter. The bunkers are well positioned and water comes into play on the 3^rd, 15^th and 17^th holes. The 15^th is a particular challenge. A par 3, it requires a precision shot over water onto a tree-lined green.
