Penina

Known as Henry Cotton's masterpiece, Penina's 18 hole championship course, host in the past to the Portuguese Open, is a flat, parkland course.  Built in 1966 and rebuilt during 1994 this mature course uses long par 3s and water hazards to present golfers of all abilities with a good challenge.

A par 4 dog-leg left starts you off on this magnificent course, followed by a tricky par 4 with water coming into play on the left of the fairway and a stream running in front of the undulating, humped green. The par 5 5th has water coming into play yet again and requires careful planning. A channel crosses the fairway which then flows into a lake sited directly in front of the domed green.

On the back nine the par 4 12th again has a green protected by water and the par 3 13th has water running all along the left of the fairway. Two par 5's finish off .

Penina Resort Course (par 35, 2987m), Penina Academy Course (par 30, 1851m)
