Montecastillo

Home of the Volvo Masters from 1997 to 2001 and considered to be one of the best courses in Europe, Montecastillo is a tough, testing course with some long, spectacular holes.  The first 9 holes are characterised by wide fairways while the fairways on the back 9 holes are narrow requiring more precision.  The greens are well protected and fast with some difficult slopes.  A demanding course but worth the challenge!

Designed by golfing legend, Jack Nicklaus, the Montecastillo course was opened in 1993, and is currently ranked 53rd best course on the entire planet!  even Mr Nicklaus himself is rather pound of this one and regards Montecastillo as one of his best designs.

Covering a vast area of 160 hectares Montecastillo golf club has everything.  the fairways and greens at Montecastillo are in great shape, with putting on the huge greens really testing you - in you are anything like us you can unfortunately expect a few 3 putts at Montecastillo!
