Set amongst pine woodlands this deceptive course presents many changes in elevation. With woodland, narrow fairways and varying levels to contend with the tight front nine contrasts well with the more open but nonetheless challenging back nine.
Designed to follow the natural terrain and offer some great views, the west course was increased from a nine hole to a full eighteen hole course during the nineties, providing La Manga with three 18 hole courses.
You will need to use a full range of skills when playing the west course to deal with the blind shots and to avoid the many storm gullies. The greens are fast and the fairways are both tight and uneven requiring accuracy and thought.
