Campo Asia, formerly the South course, was one of the first courses to be built inland from the coast and was opened about 15 years ago. It is not overly long but requires accuracy from all the tees. If your drives find the fairways you should be able to attack the pins with a good possibility of birdies. The signature hole is the par 3 11th, with its panoramic views over to the village of mijas and to the Mediterranean.
With relatively small fairways and greens with a wealth of bunkers, this hilly course plays mainly downhill or on the level. Tee shots are often quite dramatic but with good sized landing areas. Water comes into play on just two holes and half the greens are elevated and well defended.
