With a backdrop of mountains and with a glorious sea-front location in the village of Santa Cruz, the hotel provides golfers with a perfect retreat after a day playing golf or exploring the island.

From the moment we walked in to the lobby we appreciated the light, airy feel, which reflects through to the bars and restaurants, and the views over to the sea are beautiful. The rooms themselves are spacious and well equipped and we recommend opting for a sea view room.

The hotel boasts a wonderful outdoor pool and a heated indoor pool, so swimmers will be satisfied whatever time of year they visit! And you will enjoy using the Satsanga Spa which offers a variety of treatments in a relaxing setting, including massage - great for that aching golfers back!

The village of Santa Cruz is quiet and there are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Funchal is just a 20 minute drive away if you want lively nightlife. The hotel provides a courtesy bus into Funchal six days a week but you may need to get a taxi back!

With Madeira's two golf courses, Santo da Serra and Palheiro Golf, close by this good value hotel is just ideal!
