Riu Palace Madeira

The Hotel Riu Palace is located on the edge of the charming village of Canico de Baixo, overlooking the sea and midway between Madeira's two golf courses and would suit couples and groups who are looking for a quiet, peaceful resort.

Like all Riu hotels, the standard of accommodation, food and social areas is extremely good and if you decide to take half-board you will not be disappointed! The breakfast buffet offers a vast choice including fruit smoothies and champagne and the evening buffet is equally vast with a buffet selection for the first course and dessert, the main course served at your table and a themed buffet twice a week.

The pool area overlooks the sea and there is access onto the promenade and the pebble beach. There is an indoor pool for the cooler months and a fitness room. The main village of Canico is up a fairly steep hill but is worth a visit and has a few good restaurants and bars. Funchal is 5 miles from Canico for a more lively evening out and we suggest you take a taxi as parking can be difficult.
