Barcelo Isla Canela

Barcelo have recently taken over and refurbished the once popular Hotel Riu Canela and the Barcelo Isla Canela is now becoming as popular again! It has a superb position opposite a long stretch of beach and close to the Isla Canela golf course. And getting there is easy. You fly into Faro and then it's only 45 minutes by car, with no border controls to worry about. There are one or two bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel or you can visit Ayomonte, an old border town, which is only a 5 minute drive away for your evening entertainment.

Built in traditional Andalucian village style, the hotel has spacious public rooms with lovely gardens and fountains and a stunning outdoor pool. During the day there is a patio bar serving snacks and light lunches, and in the evening the main restaurant offers a good standard and choice of local specialities and international cuisine.

Close to the Isla Canela course, this is a great choice for golfers who are looking for a golf holiday away from the more crowded destinations.
