Hotel Duque de Najera
The Hotel Duque de Najera is a charming, traditional hotel located in the centre of historical Rota, directly on the beach, close to the marina and overlooking the bay of Cadiz and is ideal for those of you who want to combine your golfing holiday with some exploration of 'real Spain'.
There are many courses in the area all within a 45 minute drive and for your days off there is the old town of Jerez to visit, famous for its sherry making. Historical Cadiz is close by as is the Donana National Park, or take a day out and travel a bit further afield to the famous city of Seville.
The lovely pool and small garden area has direct access to the promenade from which a short walk takes you along to the marina and fishing harbour. Step out through the magnificent front entrance and you will find yourself in the historical centre of Rota itself with plenty of bars and restaurants to sample including the hotel's own La Concha Tapas bar which is open from April through to October and overlooks the square.
The hotel bar offers a sophisticated place in which to enjoy your pre-dinner drinks and the a la carte and buffet restaurants offer very fine, regional cuisine specialising in seafood of the freshest kind as it is landed only a few yards from the hotel!
