The Lopesan group has opened its new 18 hole golf course Meloneras Golf and visitors of Gran Canaria can now enjoy a new 18 hole golf course right next to the sea. Here the scenery is simply amazing with a stunning prospect of the Canary mountains on the one hand and the harbour of Pasito Blanco on the other.

The par 71 is situated in the new exclusive touristic resort with good accessibility to modern luxury hotels and shopping centres. The course was designed by the American architect Ron Kirby, he adapted it to the landscape and intergrated its natural form and beauty. For example an obstacle on two of the holes is the ball being hit over so called barrancos, the typical Canarian valleys in the volcanic rocks. The course is characterised by 9 holes with mountain views and 9 holes with sea views of which 3 holes are on the coast itself.

Golfers can enjoy their game over 520,000 square meters between lakes and palm-trees. The course is also appropriate for international competitions. Meloneras offers four different tees per hole, thus players with different handicaps can enjoy a game that suits them best.
