Buenavista

Designed by Severiano Ballesteros, Buenavista’s 6150 metre, par 72 course revolves around the clubhouse and its amazing views from the terraces. With the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop the views of the course and its setting are stunning.

 

The course is evenly divided between par 3s, 4s and 5s. The par 4s are probably the most demanding holes on the outward nine whilst on the return it is the par 3s, in particular the 15th and 17th as they are framed by the sea. The course has been designed to test your range of shot, each hole presents different challenges and options as to how it should or could be played.

 

All the fairways have been designed to compliment the natural contours of the terrain and indigenous plants have been encouraged and widely used to highlight the layout of the course.

 

The greens on five of the holes are close to the small cliffs of the rocky coastline, where the waves break creating a remarkably beautiful and dramatic sight. The back nine, closest to the sea, are particulary memorable as you often appear to play straight into the ocean and the sea breezes provide that extra challenge.

 

The focal point and central attraction of this course must be the waterfall in front of the clubhouse that links the water hazards of the 9th and 18th holes.
