The indiana course was the first desert golf course in europe, built to full USGA standards and an experience not to miss. Each platformed tee is surrounded by cactus, rocks and flowering plantations and each hole has features that can be brought into play - the springs, watercourses, dry riverbeds, rock and cactus areas and bunkers are strategically located to challenge the skills of golfers of all standards. Plus the amazing views of mountains and desert terrain all combine to offer a totally different experience for golfing in spain.
Opened in 2002, visitors to the course have been increasing year on year and a new resort course is planned. An innovative water recycling system helps to maintain the course to an excellent standard which is of course much needed in such an arid environment. A challenging course with strategically placed bunkers and hazards and there are different grasses for the fairways, tees and greens and each hole differs from the one before.
The service at desert springs is outstanding and you can be confident that you will be made to feel very welcome, whether you stay as a guest at this impressive resort or play as a visiting golfer.
Desert Springs is used as a winter base for many professionals and, as you might expect, the practice facilities are outstanding. Tuition is also available from experts eager to help you improve your game
