Platja de Pals

 

Perhaps the most well known course in the area, this championship course, designed by F.W Hawtree, is laid on flat ground, surrounded by pine woods. Large, fast greens, narrow fairways and well positioned bunkers makes Pals an excellent test of golf for players of all abilities. A great course.

 

One of the most scenic courses in the Catalonia area, and indeed one of the finest courses in Spain, Platja de Pals is surrounded by hundreds of pine trees laid out over a picturesque smooth terrain.  The reputation of this popular course is well deserved as it is so appealing to all levels of golfers.

 

Platja de Pals is also one of the oldest courses in the region, having opened in 1966, and the well establish forest requires good drives to keep out of trouble and the fairways do become very narrow with the branches just waiting to claim any wayward shots! 

 

The course has a distinct English feel to it with the combination of crisp seaside-style turf and tranquil pines offering a wonderful local element. Platja de Pals offers what might be seen as a generous par of 73, but with the tight fairways guarded by the pines, and fairly small greens there are plenty of holes to catch you unawares.

 

 

	La Costa Beach & Golf Resort (<1km) Lying between the championship Pals course and a lovely beach, this hotel is one of the few "stay and play" resorts with both golf & beach. Guests enjoy special discount green fees on both Pals & Serres de Pals. Highly recommended.
	La Costa Apartments Beach & Golf Resort (<1km) Directly located on the Pals Beach are the La Costa Golf Apartments, part of the la Costa Golf and Beach Resort and just 5 minutes from the hotel. Guests enjoy discounted green fees on both Pals & Serres de Pals.
	Emporda Golf Hotel & Spa (5km) A new, low-rise hotel located on the superb 36 hole Emporda golf course and just perfect for golfers who enjoy being able to stay where they play!
	Aigua Blava Hotel (7km) A hotel with such a lot going for it. Set in a beautiful bay, a standard of truly personal service that most 5 star hotels can only dream of giving, an excellent restaurant with half board included. Ideal for couples, it's not cheap, but it's worth it! The golf courses in the area are great too!
	Garbi Hotel (13km) This delightful 3 star hotel is located high up in the coastal village of Calella de Palafrugell and offers quality and service that is better than many 4 star hotels. It is a small, friendly and family run hotel, ideal for couples or small groups.
