Sherry Golf

This newly created course, Sherry Golf opened in 2004 just 1.5km from Jerez. It has beed designed into the local landscape but looks like it has been there for far longer. The wide greens and fairways are typical of an American style course.  Sherry Golf is an ideal course as part of your Spanish golfing holiday, combining fine golf with the cities of Jerez or Cadiz.

 

The 6572m, par 72 course designed by the Global Golf Company runs up and down a long sloping landscape and features many beautiful lakes, views over the sherry growing vineyards and plenty of bunkers. One in particular has been created in the shape of a horses head in reference to the world famous performing horses of the region.

 

Depsite being a young course, Sherry Golf has already hosted many professional and amateur tournaments and is proud to host the forthcoming Spanish Mens Amateur Tournament. The greens and fairways are always in immaculate condition, and you are highly unlikely to fall victim to a bad bounce or other such problems commonly found on less well managed courses.

 

The relaxing Andalucian style clubhouse is a great place to enjoy that after-round meal and drink, and offers private dining facilities for larger groups, a spike bar, and a-la-carte restaurant. The locker rooms and pro shop are also well presented and equipped. A 911m par 3 course in addition to the usual driving range and other practice facilities is also available, a great way to warm up for the more enthusiastic among your group!

 

 

	Sherry Park (4km) A good standard 4 star hotel in Jerez itself with the town centre just a short walk, the famous sherry bodegas and riding school close to hand and great courses like Montecastillo and the fabulous new Arcos Gardens within a short drive!
	Duques de Medinaceli (9km) This magnificent, historical hotel is located in the heart of the old part of El Puerto de Santa Maria, just minutes from the port itself and backing onto the Terry Bodega
	Monasterio San Miguel Hotel (9km) With a great location in the heart of El Puerto de Santa Maria, a traditional town famed for its Tapas bars and restaurants, this elegant hotel is ideal for golfers who want to feel the buzz of real Spain with good nightlife and great golf!
	Duque De Najera Hotel (20km) This delightful and traditional hotel overlooks the bay of Cadiz and offers the taste of 'real Spain' for golfers who enjoy experiencing the country's culture as well as its great golf courses!
	Barcelo Costa Ballena Golf & Spa (24km) This good value 4 star occupies a prime position alongside the 27 hole championship course of Costa Ballena and is great for golfers who prefer to stay and play, with the clubhouse just 200m from the hotel.
