We have three great bases for your stay in this wonderful area, including Jerez, the home of Sherry, El Puerto de Santa Maria, famous for its restaurants and Tapas bars, and Rota, a delightful traditional town with golden sand beaches and picturesque fishing harbour.

The Courses
The three gems of the area are Arcos Gardens, next to the famous fortified white village of Arcos de la Frontera, Montecastillo, for years host the the Volvo Masters, and Sherry Golf, South of Jerez. These are complemented by two other very good courses at Costa Ballena and El Puerto.

The  Sherry Bodegas.
Famous brands such at Domecq, Sandeman, Harveys, Gonzalez Byass and Osbornes have their headquarters in Jerez and El Puerto, and welcome visitors in the mornings for a tour with an English Speaking Guide, followed by a stop off in the sampling room, for just a few euros. These can be booked in advance of your trip during busy periods.

The Riding School.
Not to be missed in any stay to this area is a visit to the Royal Andalucian Equestrian School of Arts in Jerez. Visit the Museum in the morning and at 12 o'clock take in the fabulous display of horesemanship that was the model for Spanish Riding School in Vienna. We can book the Riding School for you in advance of your trip.

Dining.
Good restaurants and tapas bars abound in Jerez, El Puerto and Rota and a short trip to Sanlucar is a must for lovers of seafood. The restaurants at Bajo de Guia overlooking the Donana National Park are some of the finest in Spain.

Getting There.
Now there are flights into Jerez itself from Manchester and Stansted making access easy. The new motorway linking Gibraltar and Jerez means that even Malaga Airport, with its huge wealth of direct flights from the UK, is just 2hrs away. The road goes through some of the most stunning scenery in Spain and is well worth the drive.
