Tuscany

Tuscany, with its lush, rolling hills, distinctive Cypress trees and Mediterranean coastline has some excellent courses to play and the elegant, spa town of Montecatini is a great base for golfers. With its thermal springs, fine restaurants and high quality shops there is plenty to discover here. The old village of Montecatini Alto, sitting high above the spa town, is well worth a visit. Take the little Funicular railway and enjoy the views over the town and the surrounding countryside as it climbs up the hillside. For even more of Italy's great cultural heritage, Florence and Pisa are within easy travelling distance and the local trains make a visit to both of these towns both cheap and easy if you decide to enjoy a day away from golf.
