Spain has been a popular destination with British holidaymakers for many years. We hanker after a holiday in the sun, where we can depend upon the weather. Spain provides it and we don't even have to travel too far. Wherever you want to go in Spain and wherever you live in the UK, there is a plane to take you and you can even make use of the ferry if you prefer. Just a 2 and a half hour flight and you can be enjoying the sunshine.
Most golfers prefer to play golf in the sun and Spain is a very popular destination for them too. From September through to June you will always find temperatures around 10 degrees warmer than at home and with much less likelihood of rain. And many golfers enjoy early morning golf during the summer months too.
From the Costa de la Luz, close to the border with the Algarve in Portugal, round to Catalunya, close to the border with France, there are over 100 courses all along the coast with many more inland.

The diversity of the landscape, the culture, the wonderful climate and the superb facilities throughout the region make the Costa Blanca a great holiday destination, well served by the airports of Valencia, Alicante and Murcia. The many golf courses provide visiting golfers with an excellent choice from wherever they are staying.
Alicante is a thriving city with its own castle, wonderful beaches and an interesting city centre with great shopping and nightlife. Travelling south of Alicante, you will find some well established courses in the Villamartin area. A little inland from Alicante, you will find the beautiful city of Elche, surrounded by famous palm groves, the largest oasis in Europe, which have recently been listed as a World Heritage Site. Many of the groves are open to the public as parks and gardens. Travel north of Alicante and you will reach Valencia with its historical centre and fascinating fiestas.
The historic port of Cartagena and the region's capital city, Murcia, "the capital of Baroque", with it's superb cathedral, give you opportunities to sample the culture of this unspoilt part of Spain. On the south eastern Costa Calida coast and flanked by the Murcian hills, the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor lagoon is La Manga Club, one of Europe's best and most exclusive sporting and leisure resorts with its 3 championship courses.

The province of Almeria, known as the warmest, driest and sunniest corner of Europe, has been a destination for golfers looking to play Almerimar for some time. But now things have changed and with three new courses close to Mojacar, including the Indiana course of Desert Springs, and the well regarded Valle del Este, Almeria has now become a significant golf destination and is proving very popular with our customers. Granada is with easy driving distance from wherever you stay and this could be your opportunity to spend a day at the famous Alhambra Palace.

Sometimes wrongly (or lazily) called ' the Spanish Algarve', the western stretch of the Costa de la Luz with its vast skies, fascinating countryside and beautiful natural areas offers golfers the chance to get away from the crowds and to play some good quality and great value courses.
The estuaries of two rivers help to shape the coast which has huge, wide sandy beaches and visitors can choose between busy holiday resorts like La Antilla with its 27 hole golf course and good facilities and quieter areas like El Rompido, a small fishing village with a long sandy beach over the dunes. Matalascanas, a seaside town at the end of a long road that skirts the western edge of the Donana National Park, has its own golf course and is well worth the trip.

This exciting new golf destination consists of four courses, two fantastic hotels and a great selection of self-catering apartments, townhouses and villas. Located between the inland lagoon of the Mar Manor, Murcia and Cartagena, there is plenty to see and do in any golf free moments. A small ‘town centre' has been developed next to the La Torre course with a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops and Murcia Airport is just ten minutes away, making this an ideal destination for a short break.
Five more courses are being developed in the area so that, eventually, the Nicklaus Golf Trail will consist of an amazing nine championship courses all within 30 minutes.
