Perhaps best known for the passenger port of Calais, Pas de Calais can also offer some beautiful countryside and coastline. Le Touquet and Boulogne are great places to explore and there are several great hotels to stay at in the area as well as some excellent golf courses to play. At just 34 kms from the French coast you will be able to catch glimpses of the English coastline when the air is clear. Make the most of a golfing holiday here and enjoy some of the fine cuisine and wine to be found in the area. It is also an opportunity to top up at the local supermarket before you come home

This beautiful area of France is well known for its gentle pace of life, over a thousand magnificent Chateau, its wonderful crisp, white wines and its gastronomy. Golfers can enjoy a restful, gourmet golfing holiday here making the most of the local cuisine and playing some of the best golf courses in France including, Les Bordes, one of the best courses in the whole of Europe.

Known as 'the garden of France' you will enjoy the beautiful scenery as the Loire River forges its way through the rolling countryside. The forest of Sologne provides a good variety of wild game which is served in many of the restaurants along with trout and salmon from the rivers, just right after a day on the course.

Biarritz is located quite far south on the western coast of France, close to the Northern coast of Spain and it is easy to get to with regular flights to the local airport. The architecture, countryside and people are noticeably different here to the rest of France and you will appreciate the hospitality from the very friendly Basques. Biarritz was once a fishing village until Napoleon III decided to build a palace in the mid 19th century for his Empress Eugenie. Since then this delightful seaside town has become a fashionable and very chic holiday destination with fine waterfront restaurants, plenty of shops and cafes, surfing beaches and some top quality golf courses in the area. Stay in Biarritz itself or at Seignosse just 20 minutes away and you will be sure to enjoy a great golfing holiday.

Normandy

Normandy,famous for its historical interest and association with WW11, is a delightful area of France to visit and you can enjoy some great golf here. From stunning cliff top courses to traditional parkland layouts there is a great choice and all just a short trip across the channel, ideal for a golfing break!

Make sure you visit the famous Bayeaux Tapestry while you are in the area and don't forget to take advantage of the fantastic cuisine and wine. The French markets are a joy to visit if you have time between rounds and why not stock up with wine before you go home.

Brittany

Brittany is a delightful area of France best known for its rugged coastline, pretty villages, mild climate and glorious countryside. The British have been coming to Brittany for years to enjoy the food, wine and culture without having to travel too far and golfers are now enjoying the benefits of this area too. The southern end of Brittany benefits from the Gulf Stream which helps to maintain the mild climate and here you can find the popular seaside towns of St Malo, Dinard and La Baule.
