Morocco is an exotic golfing destination where golfers can experience the fascinating culture while enjoying a great holiday. With an average of 300 days of sunshine per year golfers can play golf all year round. With reasonably priced courses that are well manicured and not crowded, golfers will enjoy the golf here. It is compulsory to pay for a caddy on some of the courses but the cost is minimal and with green fees at half the cost of many in Spain and Portugal will be worth it for their experience and knowledge of the course.
Marrakech is perhaps the most well known city in Morocco, with the Atlas mountains forming a magnificent backdrop and is worth exploring for its exotic atmosphere. Djemaa el fna is the square at the centre of the city which buzzes with life and activity. Acrobats, dancers, drummers and more vie to entertain you and the square includes many food stalls where you can sample traditional dishes. You may prefer to go to one of the inexpensive cafes or to enjoy some traditional Moroccan cuisine at one of the up-market restaurants in the area. Take a visit to one of the Souks and watch the craft workers in action or head to the Medina if it is shopping and eating that interest you.
Many visitors enjoy experiencing a Moroccan Hammam. These traditional bathhouses are places of social interaction for Moroccans who often visit once a week for the chance of a soak and to catch up with friends. Men and women bathe separately and in the more luxurious Hammams, international visitors will receive an escort to show them the ropes.
