Golf Costa Adeje

Designed by Pepe Gancedo and set overlooking the coast, Costa Adeje uses the natural terrain and stone walls of a former banana plantation.  The course provides stunning views along the south of the island and with its raised tees, excellent fairways and well protected greens Costa Adeje is a must on any golfers visit to Tenerife.

Costa Adeje golf is ideally located just five kms away from Playa de las Americas.  Away from the built up town are the course has been allowed plenty of space, and the first eighteen of the total of twenty-seven holes occupies an area of eight hundred thousand square metres. Designer, Pepe Gancedo who has been responsible for a further fourteen courses on both sides of the atlantic, has a clear philosophy is clear throughout to hand craft each hole adapting the course to the existing terrain whilst respecting the environment and local plant life.

No exception to this admirable philosophy, Adeje's fairways follow the natural contours of the land using over fifty thousand square metres of dry stone walls showing how the original agricultural terraces have been restored and the greens have been strategically laid out along the course.  This well thought through layout affords spectacular views of the Atlantic, La Gomera island, Playa de las Americas and the mountains of Adeje.

On the whole, the greens are generously sized. Designed with equal numbers of three, four and five par holes, Adeje begins with a 510 metre long par 5. The eighteenth is also a par five of 500 metres, a great opportunity for the ‘big hitters'.
