Between Faro and the Spanish border, close to the delightful fishing village of Tavira, Benamor winds its way through ancient olive groves with excellent views of the sea and the mountains. The first 5 holes are fairly short, which lulls you into a feeling of ease, but then some challenging par 3's and par 5's provide a true test.
The par 3 8th requires careful club selection and accuracy with wind coming into play and bunkers and trees protecting the stepped green. Another par 3 starts off the back nine with a carry over water and the par 4 13th also has water coming into play in the form of a small stream that cuts across the fairway. Enjoy the view over to Tavira and the sea from the tee at the 15th and then go on to finish the round on a long par 5. An uphill drive, you then need to watch out for the trees before reaching the generous and attractive green. A great finale!
