Andratx

Attractive, immaculately kept and challenging new 18 hole golf course designed by David Kidd of Gleneagles. The seven lakes and 60 or so bunkers, combined with the narrow fairways, provide plenty of obstacles for a wide variety of golfing abilities.  Andraxt is buggy only course, thanks to its location between hills and valleys.

David Kidd appears to have carved the holes out of the andratx hills when designing this course. Andraxt is one of the more challenging courses in Mallorca, it's narrow fairways and numerous obstacles will have you thinking through each shot with care.

Praised for its originality with numerous raised tees offering amazing scenery of the Mallorquin coastline. The back nine take you into the countryside, surrounded by pine trees and mediterranean flora.

The seven ponds and lakes come into play on six holes, and the sixty snow white quartz filled sand bunkers all contribute to a tricky round that you will want to play again to better your score.

Interestingly, the course is irrigated with recycled water and rainwater that is collected in tanks.  A desalination plant ensures the long term protection of the environment.  Great to know in today's ever environmentally concious world.
